Scope of the Quality Management System (QMS)
The GEMS™ QMS applies to all operations related to inspection, selection, weighing, documentation, packaging supervision, and logistical support of natural stone products. The system ensures that all processes are conducted in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, guaranteeing quality, transparency, and risk mitigation throughout the supply chain.
Processes and Procedures
1. Inspection and Selection
- All blocks, slabs, tiles, and mosaics are examined by trained personnel for color, consistency, quality, and overall characteristics.
- Materials are approved only if they meet the established acceptance criteria, ensuring uniformity and compliance with customer requirements.
2. Measurement, Weighing, and Documentation
- Each piece is accurately measured and weighed and recorded in a comprehensive inspection report.
- Reports include selection, quality, quantity, measurement and weight, and material identification, ensuring full traceability and supporting continuous quality control.
3. Packaging and Securing Supervision
- Materials are packed and secured following defined safety standards to minimize the risk of damage during transport.
- Internal factory procedures are evaluated to ensure proper handling of each block, slab, or mosaic until delivery.
4. Comprehensive Logistics Support
- Collaboration with suppliers and transport companies ensures that all procedures are followed, maintaining safety, efficiency, and accountability throughout the supply chain.
